Families First

The Families First programme by Surrey County Council is an early help initiative designed to support families facing multiple challenges. It aims to provide coordinated, practical support to improve outcomes for children and young people.

Families First brings together various services, including education, health, and social care, to work collaboratively with families. By addressing issues such as school attendance, parenting challenges, and financial difficulties, Families First seeks to strengthen family resilience and promote positive change.

Families can be referred through professionals like teachers, health visitors, or social workers, or they can self-refer if they feel they need support. The goal is to intervene early to prevent problems from escalating, ensuring that children and young people have the best possible start in life.

For more information or to make a referral, please visit the Surrey County Council Families First page here.
